The official Call of Duty website has updated to confirm that this year’s Call of Duty title is indeed named Modern Warfare 3. Despite nothing being revealed on the website, the new update suggests that the announcement is getting closer. You can click on a link to the website here.

Modern Warfare 3 was first leaked by Insider Gaming earlier this year, with the website leaking a ton of details on what to expect on the game. More recently, a slew of leaks have hit the internet which have seemingly suggested that the year’s title aims to address most of the issues fans had with Modern Warfare 2.

In February 2023, Jason Schreier at Bloomberg reported that this year’s title will be more Modern Warfare and was going to be a DLC for Modern Warfare 2. Whilst that was true for a time, Insider Gaming reported that the game will be a fully-fledged premium title.

Modern Warfare 3 will be revealed during Season 5 of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone, but Activision is yet of officially confirm the exact date.

“Drop into Call of Duty: Warzone to experience the worldwide reveal for Call of Duty 2023 in a limited-time event. Join the ranks of Shadow Company to take on Konni forces and secure the chemical weapon threat before it’s too late. Stay tuned to Call of Duty channels for more details about the upcoming reveal”, the official Call of Duty blog reads.

Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone Season 5 kicks-off August 2 and with the Call of Duty website officially updating, it’s safe to say we’re probably closer to a reveal than we think.
