You heard that right. Zombies are returning in Modern Warfare 3 for Call of Duty’s “largest zombies offering to date”.
The news broke just minutes ago via the Call of Duty blog, which has given some huge updates on what fans should expect to see in Modern Warfare 3 including the return of all the classic maps from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2.
On zombies, the blog states, “Did someone say Zombies? More information coming soon on the new Modern Warfare® Zombies: The largest Zombies offering to date.”
If you’re a fan of round-based zombies though, it might be worth keeping your expectations in check. As according to Insider Gaming, this year’s zombies offering in Modern Warfare 3 is more akin to Outbreak. In fact, the website refered to zombies in the game as being “Outbreak 2.0”. Whilst we will likely have to wait some more weeks/months yet on if that’s the case or not, it’s always worth noting reporting via credible website in order to keep expectations in check.
Treyarch Studios, the original studio behind Call of Duty zombies even gave Sledgehammer Games its nod of approval for zombies in Modern Warfare over on Twitter.
Modern Warfare 3 is set to officially be revealed tomorrow, August 17, 2023.
The game will launch November 10, 2023 on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
