Activision has announced during Gamescom Opening Night Live that the Modern Warfare 3 Beta will take place during October.
As first reported by Insider Gaming and now confirmed during the latest Modern Warfare 3 campaign trailer, the multiplayer Beta will take place over two weekends.
- Beta weekend 1 (PS4/PS5) – October 6, 2023 – October 10, 2023
- Beta weekend 2 (PS4/PS5/Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S/PC) – October 12, 2023 – October 16, 2023
It was also announced today that the next Call of Duty NEXT event will take place on October 5, which will include the first look at multiplayer and the future of Call of Duty Warzone.
It’s already been confirmed that Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer will contain all 16 multiplayer maps from Modern Warfare 2, which have been redesigned to a certain extent.

- Afghan
- Derail
- Estate
- Favela
- Highrise
- Invasion
- Karachi
- Quarry
- Rundown
- Rust
- Scrapyard
- Skidrow
- Sub Base
- Terminal
- Underpass
- Wasteland
In addition to the Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer Beta news, the outlet has also previously revealed the following dates for the game:
- Campaign Early Access (PS4/PS5/Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S/PC) – November 2, 2023
- Full Release (PS4/PS5/Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S/PC) – November 10, 2023 (confirmed)
- Season 1 Launch / New Warzone Map – December 5, 2023
