It has been announced at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con that High on Life is now available on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The announcement came via a new story trailer in addition to 9 minutes of PlayStation 5 gameplay. You can see both trailers below:
High on Life received mixed responses with critics on its release, but was primarily praised by the wider public for its witty jokes and humour. High on Life is a first-person action-adventure shooter game that takes place in a captivating science fiction universe inhabited by talking guns. Justin Roiland, who’s best known as the co-creator of Adult Swim’s animated sitcom Rick and Morty was heavily involved in the creation of High on Life, with his creative vision to have the game as a first-person shooter that featured talking guns that would speak to the player and react to their actions
Published by Squanch Games, the game made its debut on December 13, 2022, initially available for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. High on Life secured the top spot as the most played title on Xbox Game Pass in its first week of release. Aaron Greenberg, Xbox’s Vice President of Marketing, praised the game as a “breakout hit”.
The game features the voice talents of J.B. Smoove, Betsy Sodaro, Tim Robinson, Michael Cusack, and many more.
High on Life is now available of the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
