A new update on the PlayStation website has revealed new accessibility options for Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. The website, which updated earlier today says that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be “building on the accessibility improvements in previous titles”, implying that other accessibility options from its previous games will remain.
One of the biggest new features coming to Spider-Man 2 is the ability to slow down the gameplay. Players will now be able to slow down the gameplay action to 70%, 50%, or 30% of the games full speed and will allow players to switch back to normal speed at any time.
You can see the three major improvements outlined below:
- Audio: screen reader support will read aloud all on-screen text in menus.
- Captions: on-screen captions and audio descriptions are available for cinematic scenes.
- Gameplay: you can choose to slow down the action to 70%, 50%, or 30% of the full speed; switching back to regular speed at any time.

Is Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 coming to PC?
Unfortunately at this time, Marvel’s Spider Man 2 is a PlayStation 5 exclusive. However, if the game follows previous exclusive timelines, we should expect to see the game release on PC in the next year or two. Its predecessors, Spider-Man Remastered and Spider-Man: Miles Morales have both found their way to PC after initial PS5 exclusivity.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launches on October 20 2023, exclusively for the PlayStation 5.
