Modern Warfare 3 – Everything we Know About Call of Duty 2023

Modern Warfare 3 is set to be the next premium title released by Call of Duty in 2023, here’s everything we know about the upcoming game.

First reported by Insider Gaming, this year’s Call of Duty title will be released later his year and development by Advanced Warfare developers Sledgehammer Games. Previous rumours have suggested that the game was intended to be a Modern Warfare 2 DLC at one point, but the report has outlined that is no longer the case.

Modern Warfare 3 Reveal and Release

According to the same report, Modern Warfare 3 is set to be revealed on August 1st, 2023, with the game having its full release on November 10, 2023.

Will There be Zombies?

Insider Gaming has outlined that Modern Warfare 3 will have a zombies mode, but the mode will be similar to Black Ops Cold War’s Outbreak instead of traditional round-based modes.

It’s understood that round-based zombies will make a return in 2024 will a new Black Ops game by Treyarch Games.

A New Warzone Map

Just like since Warzone’s first release in 2020, rumours have suggested that Modern Warfare 3 will get a new Warzone map in December. At the moment the tentative date for Season 1 is pencilled in for December 5, 2023 and will feature the Las Almas map that can be found in Modern Warfare 2’s campaign.

As for other details on the game, the first images of Modern Warfare 3 reportedly leaked last week, which showcase some remakes of classic Call of Duty maps. The images have since been copyrighted by Activision, suggesting that the images were authentic. The leaked images show remasters of Modern Warfare 2’s Terminal and Scrapyard.
